A revolutionary approach to mental, emotional, and physical wellness

What is The Orland Method?

Have you ever left a therapeutic session feeling exhausted, mentally drained, and emotionally vulnerable? Or maybe the opposite, riding an emotional high to the point of overexcitement? What if, following that session, you were given the opportunity to bring your sympathetic nervous system back to homeostasis through the mindful movement of yoga. Thus, setting you up for success for the rest of your day and week. The Orland Method is a new and powerful way to achieve mental, emotional, and physical balance. Each session begins with a 45-minute wellness coaching session during which time we will talk through, process, and devise strategies to address the stressors and day-to-day concerns that are affecting your mental, emotional, and/or physical health. A 25 minute, individually tailored yoga flow will follow the session based on the specific issues we had just addressed and the energy you feel at the end of coaching. This yoga practice will serve as a grounding tool to bring you back to presence and as a method to begin resolving and restoring your mental, emotional, and physical health. The yoga sessions will be recorded and sent to you directly giving you an additional resource to add to your library and to reflect back on and practice on your own time.

Meet Hannah Orland

Helping people achieve a sense of fulfillment and live by their values is why I do what I do. I am a 200hour certified yoga teacher and I hold a Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling from the Chicago School of Psychology. I completed my yoga training at Bare Feet Power Yoga in Chicago, IL in 2019 and received my Masters Degree in July of 2022. I have worked as a mental health therapist in San Francisco with the Liberation Institute, a non-profit community mental health organization, as well as at Genesis Clinical Services in the suburbs of Chicago. I strongly believe in the benefits of counseling and wellness coaching through talking and discussion, but believe so much more could be achieved through the combination of talking and mindful movement. That is why I created The Orland Method.

When I’m not working or doing yoga, you will typically find me outside walking/hiking in nature, connecting with my community, pursuing a creative endeavor like drawing or origami, or simply hanging out on my front porch with dog, Arlo, while my cat, Aubergine, watches us from the window perch.
